Kolby's Christmas

It was really a great Christmas and having a child truly makes it special. Kolby was old enough to understand the concepts of presents and had a great time at Nana and Papa's. We will be doing Christmas this next week at my parent's house. I am glad we were able to spread out the gift giving and excitement for Kolby.

Kolby was having a great time sitting with Papa. He decided his doggy needed to sit in Papa's overalls.

Kolby also enjoyed giving love to Nana and helping out in the kitchen.

On Christmas morning, Kolby woke up to find Santa left him a Kolby sized 4-wheeler. He jumped right on and started to ride! Now he just needs to learn to steer.

We were also surprised to wake up Christmas morning and see snow outside!

WOW! Does time fly

It is mid-December. Kolby and I have survived the stomach flu and I have graduated from University of Arkansas with my masters. (Unofficially) Melissa and I are waiting for our contract to arrive in the mail so we will officially be under contract for our book. Things seem to be really coming together.

Today Marrin, Kolby and I made Christmas ornaments. It was interesting painting with a 1 year old! He kept wanting to eat them. I was glad they all came out great and family will be recieving some extra special presents this year.

Below are pictures from our ornament making experience, time at Silver Dollar City, Thanksgiving and a few in a basket full of stuffed animals!

Happy Halloween!

For Halloween we took Kolby and Marrin to Tanger Outlet Mall in Branson. Kolby was dressed up like a monkey. We got to spend time at Kevin and Shawn's before and after trick-or-treating. Kolby figured out if he held out his candy basket he got something even if he can't say "trick-or-treat" just yet. I was so proud of him. He hadn't had a nap since the morning (woke up at 12:30) and he walked most of Tanger. Towards the end he wanted to be held but never got fussy. He loved looking at all the other kids out getting candy.

Enjoy the pictures!

Kolby 'mowing' the grass. If only he was old enough!

Kolby rode around in Marrin's jeep. Kolby was actually driving it himself but his little legs couldn't reach the peddles very well so Marrin decide she would drive him around a bit. She only ran into a tree once! She was also teaching him how to use the radio!

First Hair Cut, Birthday Parties, and Pumpkin Carving

It has been almost 2 months since I last posted and a lot has happened! Kolby is walking now and even gets those legs running. He just started walking backwards and I discovered he knows how to go DOWN the stairs in addition to climbing up them. His other newest trick is running around naked before his bath. He likes to run from me.

Clint took him to the doctor's on Oct. 19th for his 15 mo. check up. He is 32 inches long and 24.8 lbs. He is getting big! My mom and I went out and purchased a fall/winter wardrobe for him. He is so cute in his sweat outfits and is great to cuddle with.

This past week has been rough for me with parent teacher conferences and tutoring. I am discovering I am really missing him during the day now that he is interactive and playful. All week I came home after 6:30, except Friday. On Friday we were released at noon and I was able to pick Kolby up early. I brought him home and I decided to lay on the couch and watch GLEE. He brought his dog and blanket over to me and wanted to lay with me. He was asleep in less than 10 minutes so we were able to take a nap together.

Now, what you have been waiting for.... PICTURES! and a few videos. :)

For my first break from school, Clint, Kolby and I went to the lake to visit Nana and Papa. Uncle Kevin and Marrin were there with us.

It's Halloween (almost!): We carved a pumpkin with Kolby. He liked helping us take the 'guts' out. He then thought he should try out the cut out pieces. He didn't eat any but thought about it until that first taste!
