Our Adventure

Today Clint and I got to spend some time together. It has been difficult with him working 6 days a week. He took off today to go to the doctor with me. The doctor's appointment was good. Baby is right on track and is right around the corner. It is scary to think he could be here anytime now! We also went to Target and got some items we still wanted / needed like a cart for supplies, baby monitor, and feeding items.

After the appointment we went to Lowe's to get a new fridge. Our spare one stopped working a few weeks ago and we were spoiled with the extra room. It has been hard to get everything to fit in our kitchen fridge. So, we bought a larger, nicer fridge today and it will be installed next Thursday. We are very excited. This will come in handy with that extra mouth to feed.

And, Clint and I also celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary on Monday. Sadly we didn't get to do anything special. I had a baby shower Sunday and birth class on Monday. It seems like we have just been too busy. I doubt it will get any better for the next 18 years.

Baby Shower!

On Sunday Shawn (sister-in-law) through me a baby shower at my house. I was suprised how many people showed up to support me in this new adventure. It was great! I got a lot of items and no repeats! I think I am just about ready for this little one to arrive. Thanks everyone for all the items, gift cards, and money! I was glad I could share this experience with you!.

















































Thanks again for everything!!! I can't wait for my son to arrive so I can start using it all.

Storms, Storms, Storms

The past 2 weeks have brought a lot of storms to our area. We have had 2 hail storms and even more bad weather!

Kacee and the Baby

Kacee seems to know something is going on! She has been really cuddly lately and likes to lay with me. Her favorite place is to be right by the belly! Can you tell? I hope she does good once the baby gets here and isn't jealous. I am a little nervous about this but hopefully she does good. She will probably be protective of the baby but I don't know how she will be with me.

Our Son's Room and Pictures

Most of you haven't been able to see the baby's room in a while. We are still working on it but it is ready for him when he gets here. We didn't want to do a theme because we figure he will determine his own in a year or two. The walls were already painted nicely and we didn't want to mess with it either. We also choose to leave the full size bed in the room. It does take up a lot of space but considering the baby's room is on the second floor, it will come in handy. Plus he will have a bed when he is done sleeping in a crib.





This is a picture of the quilt I made my son. I had extra fabric so I made matching pillows.





This is a picture of his coming home outfit. I have a feeling it will be big on him. I might change my mind in the upcoming weeks.



And of course, every boy needs a closet full of clothes! Can you image a boy has this many clothes already. Too bad he will out grown most of them in a few months. Luckily my sister-in-law manages the local Carter's store. Most of the nicer outfits I already have were contributed by her. Thanks Shawna!!!

A Brief Introduction

Well it is 4:00 am and I am working on my blog. What does that tell you? I was awake and decided, hey, whynot make a blog. I thought I would do this so I can post pictures of my son when he arrives and thus keep family informed.

I am somewhat new to this so please be patient as I work through the kinks. I hope you enjoy seeing the progress and hearing what is up with our lives.

Clint is currently working a long row of days as he helps set up and begin the magic show at work. I am spending my time working on graduate school (and this blog).
