So, I just went and got Kolby after he woke up from his nap. I walked in his room and he was pointing at the floor. He does this with things he throws out of his crib. Well, I look down and it is his diaper! My first thought was, "That looks dry...." Sure enough it was! I looked in the crib and it appears he STOOD UP and peed all over. There was a HUGE puddle on the side of the crib and down the side. The mattress is wet as well as the floor! He thought he was so funny. It was hard not to laugh at first but I was still pretty mad. AHHHH..... But, I guess boys will be boys!
Clint and I have been saying he turned 1 and now he is just rotten! Luckily we love him!

Exactly 1 year ago....
At this exact time last year I was told I would have to have a c-section and was being prepared. I remember I was very worried and nervous. However everything worked out great and I wouldn't change it for the world.

Kolby is officially 1 today! I can't believe a year ago today I was awaiting his arrival. It is really scary to realize how fast this past year has flown by!
Last Sunday we were able to celebrate Kolby's 1st birthday. We had a small get together here at our house. The invites were limited to family with a few friends of ours thrown into the mix. All together it was a great day. We had plenty of food but yet not to much. Kolby also got some new toys and he loves exploring with them. He really loves his musical guitar.

Today I was finally able to talk Clint into getting professional portraits done. Although they were done at JcPenny, they came out pretty good. We were able to get several prints for a very reasonable price. (Grandparents we have some for you!) I wanted to share what we have so enjoy. There are a lot of pictures so enjoy!

It's Summer!
I am so glad that I have the opportunity to spend the summer with Kolby. I have been on vacation for 3 days and am loving it! I do have to go back to school tomorrow for eMINTS training (7 days total) but it should be less stressful than a normal day. Other than those training days, 4 workshops at IPA, and a graduate course, my summer is Kolby's!
Clint and I spent our first days focusing on the landscape outside. We planted shurbs that last year round and it looks great. We went to Springfield and ate lunch with Neff and his 2 girls. Kolby enjoyed eating out!
Then, today we went to the zoo! Although Kolby was a bit young he had a great time. I was so proud of him. He woke from his nap at 10 am and made it all day! He fell asleep in the car on the way home at 3:00. At the zoo we ate lunch, saw Giraffes and Elephants, and enjoyed the time outside. We when got home, I was hoping Kolby would sleep but nope! Since he was up we (GrandMommy and I)took him outside to go swimming in the pool that Clint bought. It was cold at first but he liked it. We were outside for over an hour.
Getting Kolby to sleep for the evening was a challenge. Clint had to work late and Kolby was being clingy. He was really tired and way beyond it. He fought sleep so much that at one point he actually made himself sick. After 2 bottles and a lot of cuddling in the rocking chair, I got him to go to sleep. He was out as soon as we were cuddling in the chair. Hopefully he sleeps really well tonight and lets me sleep in tomorrow!
I am wearing a hat!

Up close and personal! The tongue was HUGE and gross. It kept blowing air at us throw its nose.

Look at how BIG I am getting

Kolby enjoyed cooling off in the water. It would come out of the hole and he would reach for it.

My little music lover! Music plays and Kolby dances and sings- Well, as best as a 10 month old can!

Mother's Day
My first mother's day with Kolby was WONDERFUL! We didn't do much. We had brunch with my parents at Big Cedar Lodge. We did this last year while I was still pregnant. It was still great food. There was so much and I got to enjoy the champagne this year. It was wonderful. Kolby enjoyed eating a little bit of everything.

So much, so little time.
I keep looking at Kolby and I can't remember what he was like when he was first born. I guess I am just flooded with current emotions of love. He is starting to reach out to us and give us hugs. He now says dada (alot) mama, yeah while clapping hands, and bye bye. He loves when American Idol and Dancing with the Stars is on. He watches the show, sings along, dances, and then claps. He is so cute to watch. He army crawls all over the place and likes to walk if we hold his hands. He is also eating table foods. He pretty much eats everything I do and takes a few bottles a day. He LOVES to swim in the bathtub. He crawls from end to end and is so funny to watch. The Ozark Community Center just opened up and I can't wait to take him swimming.
So now.... a bunch of photos!
